With an emphasis on cross disciplinary studies in architecture and design, my background is characterized by diversity within my professional work. Whether developing the content and design for museum exhibitions, or conducting research and providing editorial services for publications, I have focused on pursuing a variety of experiences that allow me to immerse myself within the realm of architecture and design. This has been a valuable asset as I have been able to cross boundaries and undertake a variety of responsibilities.
Interested in exploring opportunities in academia, I focused on developing my skills as a faculty member at the Art Institute of Washington. Dealing with the ups and downs of establishing a new bachelor's program in interior design, it was essential for me to take an active role. Thus, as a search for an Academic Director and faculty was undertaken, my diversity enabled me to play an integral part within its curriculum. Utilizing a quarter system, this has included developing and teaching 22 four credit classes over six quarters. At this accelerated pace, I have gained confidence in my abilities as an educator and I am interested in utilizing this experience within different academic settings
